visa's and work permits
This link will take you to the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship web pages for students. Students are permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours a week during the education term and unlimited hours during recognised periods of vacation. -
Taxation and Superannuation
All workers in Australia must pay income tax and if they earn over AU$450 per month superannuation. This link will take you to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) where you will find information to assist non-residents with income tax and superannuation requirements. - Mail and postage

Macquarie University is a modern institution with a mission to serve the needs of industry and the community. Macquarie is home to 32,000 students almost 9,000 of which are international students. Macquarie City College is part of Macquarie University. - TAFE NSW & the

TAFE NSW is the largest education and training provider in the southern hemisphere. With over 1,200 practical, work-oriented training courses and intensive English language programs are delivered to over 500,000 students each year at over 130 campuses throughout NSW. - Sydney University
Sydney University is Australia's first and oldest university and has an outstanding reputation within Australia and around the world. Sydney University offers courses and facilities for international students. - University of Technology
Sydney (UTS)
UTS is a busy cosmopolitan university with its largest campus located on the edge of the Sydney CBD. International students are catered for at UTS with a special division set-up to assist international students with their studies. - University of NSW
(UNSW)
UNSW was founded in 1949 and has its main campus located in the eastern Sydney suburb of Kensington. It offers 600 undergraduate and 300 postgraduate programs for Australian and International students.
